EX series loop extractor

The EX series loop extractor recovers residual oil from seed flakes or press cake with an organic solvent (hexane). The meal travels in a closed loop in perforated boxes against the solvent, so oil is washed out gradually in several stages. Working medium: miscella, hexane vapour, cake. Working pressure (absolute): 0.1014 MPa.

Features of the EX series

• 15 models with capacity from 20 to 6000 t/day on sunflower seed;
• continuous counter-current thin-layer extraction in a sealed housing;
• gentle material handling: fewer fines and better miscella filtration;
• fewer moving parts than rotary designs, simpler maintenance;
• scalable from mid-size to large plants without changing the process scheme.

How to choose a model

Choose by daily capacity on raw material, then check the dimensions (height 3000–16,000 mm, width 1200–6000 mm, length 5000–52,000 mm) and internal volume (20–1000 m³) against your plant.
