DC series toasters

DC series toasters are multi-vat desolventizer-toasters for the final removal of solvent from meal after extraction, plus drying and cooling. The meal passes in sequence through several vats stacked one above another: the upper ones steam and desolventize with live steam, the lower ones dry and cool.

Features of the DC series

• 18 models with 5 to 13 vats;
• internal diameter 1500 or 2000 mm, column height from 6800 to 16,200 mm;
• separate control of temperature and residence time on every tier;
• adjustable gates between vats: stable treatment time without bypassing;
• efficient capture of hexane vapour from the upper vats and return of the solvent to the cycle.

How to choose a model

The model is selected for the extractor capacity and meal quality requirements: the number of vats, diameter and column height define capacity and residence time.
